Oh my goodness. Someone has swapped my little toad of a grey horse with a saint!

Kali was an absolute superstar at the Fair Oak Team Chase today . . . and he and his teammates Bess (the supercob) and Nazzabee (the former racehorse) came in 7th (out of 24) despite just pootling round.

I love my horse!

Looks like amazing fun. I am determined to be out doing this sort of thing next year - slowly building my confidence! He looks great. I am loving Bess the wonder cob - very cute!

that looks really good fun! Your horse looks very handsome but huge so I think your very brave! Are there different size classes, I always think of team chasing as being massive fences, but that looks brill and a me and my lad kind of manageable...

Bess is amazing . . . she can turn her hoof to anything and is just so, so pretty. If she were 16.2hh I'd steal her - she's only 14.1hh so I'd squish her ;).

Have already commented on fb but he looks like he is having an absolute ball! He also looks very, very clean, ours are all bogmonsters at the moment! :D

He had a bath yesterday - much to his disgust. Despite being rugged last night, he still came out of his stable looking like a skewbald so I had to do some last minute spot washing. Ah the joys of owning a grey ;).

He really, really enjoyed himself - they all did . . . a much better outing than our trip to the same venue three weeks ago. Each time he goes out he gets better.

Oh no no nooooooooooo . . . that's not me on board, heaven forfend! I don't leave the ground any more (which is how come I was taking the pictures ;)). The jockey is my very talented (and brave) friend Z who has been schooling the Donkey for me while I recover from a fractured pelvis (all mended now).

Kal is 16.2hh - so not that big - I guess Bess is so dinky that he looks enormous next to her.

Re the fences - this venue is brilliant for novice horses and riders b/c the fences are so do-able, without being boring. Give it a go!
