Just a small victory, but I spent the morning fencing off the bottom third of the field on the other side of his two new fieldmates (after taking down his pen) . . . today was the first time in over four weeks that I was able to turn him out, muck him out and LEAVE HIM OUT! Hurrah! He has enough grass that I don't need to leave him any hay and enough space to really stretch his legs. I kept my eye on him all morning and all he did was eat . . . with Jake (one of his two new fieldies) gazing longingly at him over the fence . . . bless.

A week of this and then he can actually go out with the other two boys :D :D :D

Oh and Z hacked him round the gallops - three times . . . in trot all the way . . . and worked him hard enough to make him sweat up (takes a lot for him to do that) . . . my turn to climb aboard tomorrow . . .
