Greyhound / Lurcher Collars

I am sure there is someone on here that can help me.

My Brother has recently acquired a rescue Lurcher and he has said he'd like a new collar for him for Christmas........now I have just done a leatherwork course and thought I'd make one - no problem so far BUT he wants one with 2 buckles on. Has anyone seen one of these and if so could you explain them to me please ?!?! I just need to know what they should look like so I can make a pattern.
