Yes, Ive never seen a sitting greyhound, why is that, do their legs not fold

Do you know, you are absolutely right, my lurcher would not sit either. I think she regarded it as a command, and she did not do being commanded!

Mostly, dogs bred for coursing find the sitting position uncomfortable. It's mostly to do with the fact that they tend to be rather angular and that few carry much cushioning fat, I suspect.

I had a greyhound bitch once who would sit without a command, but she was unusual.
