Greyhounds! Update

Thank you, gone mad and bought 2beds, 2 in door collas, 2 walking collas with names on, 3bowls, 4dog tags with shinny paw prints on them.

The boy brindle aka king had black accessories and the girl sherry pink. Spoilt dogs lol

The rescue center are giving us coats for them

Aww they look lovely , I'm a softy for the blacks
Well done taking on two ,very lucky n will b spoilt
I found raised feeding bowls good for feeding n drinking
There's me with two hounds sprawled out on sofa third across my lap lol
Won't b long that these two will b doing the same , hope u got a big sofa ,n a beanbag for ya self ha ha

Lol no not allowed on the sofa that's the only rule I have obviously beside the obvious rules lol

They will be spoilt but then so they should be. Sherry the black is very affectionate and the boy king is a little shy but I'm sure he will get used to us more and come out of his shell

Lovely dogs. Lucky you and them. I don't give the "Not on the sofa rule" very long though. How could you resist?

Well done you :) My daughter has 2 - a black bitch and a brindle boy (sound familiar? ) The bitch is rather shy and nervous and the boy is very bouncy but they are very sweet dogs and very happy. Apparently for some reason black greyhounds are harder to rehome  Hope you have a great time with them and look forward to lots of 'at home' photos.

Enjoy, they look lovely! I don't have a GH, but do have a lurcher, so will join others in the 'good luck' at keeping them off the sofa! They're super dogs and hope you'll have loads of fun with them!

Only one thing I would say is avoid collars with names on, for any unscrupulous person looking to 'acquire' a dog will find it easier if they can call the dog by its name... Just my opinion!

Congratulations! Greyhounds are wonderful dogs. Twelve years ago I had a pair of ex-racers when I moved out of my mother's house, and they were brilliant. Very different from the Dalmatians and Labs I was used to, but just right for me at the time. I still miss them. Best of luck with yours! My boy took over my sofa within days, and one of the armchairs was forevermore known as 'Kai's chair' after she staked her claim. :)

Thank you, their house collas are plain padded leather ones in pink for girlie and black for little man of course lol

I doubt we will let them of the lead for a long time yet and we live in a very safe village so one would hope we wouldn't have to worry about them being stolen but I appreciate the concern had we been living in a town walking them in a poplar park land then I would think twice.

I hope they enjoy our home and the comforts we have for them, they have 2 toys each, unstuffed foxe rabbit, duck and a pheasant to play with.

It's going to be a long week I expect in the lead up to collecting them

I also appreciate everyone's advise if you recognise the dogs at any BE meets come say hello we are staying in the east this season
