Absolutely stunning pictures Kimberleigh, I love seeing greyhounds properly fit! Reminds me of my Hoover just out of training....

And a small human as well as all those puppies - I can't decide if you are very brave or mad :D :D :D The puppies are gorgeous, are there any left looking for homes? :p

Thanks guys! Yes all still available as its some sort of unwritten rule that nobody advertises until they have been ear marked - seems odd to me as surely they want to be in homes asap but most sadly see them as a commodity 😔 everyone says we are mental for raising them in the house 🙈

Wow kimberleigh! Those are two of the most magnificently fit looking dogs I have ever seen.

PM- I would quite like to steal your whippet

Thank you Dabdab! They're kept looking like that with mainly hand walking on the lead and the odd gallop!

Haha Levrier 😂😂😂

You guys are welcome to them - they are wild now 😂 will turn 6 weeks old tomorrow and have just graduated to the stables as having 13 rambunctious greyhound demons, I mean puppies, in the house was killing me!!

It appears that we are keeping 5?! But thank the lord they will be reared at our friends kennels until 12/13months and then start their training. If any mamke it to the coursing field then great but if not we will find them pet homes to be loved in instead 😃

Oh kimberleigh they sound fantastic! I have 3 12-year olds at the moment, of course I would MUCH MUCH rather keep my beautiful Gang of Four but if not and nature intervenes then I’ll be messaging you :) :)

Hello! I'm new to posting here although I've lurked a bit in the past, and thought this had to be my first thread! This is my greyhound Joe - he's 5 and a half, 38kg, ex-racer and courser from Ireland. He's certainly not a 'two 20 minute walks a day' lad, whether that's the courser side of him I don't know, but he will walk and walk and walk :D

Oh wow EllieB he is absolutely gorgeous, and that second picture in particular is fantastic :)

We can never have too many greyhound owners on here ;) - a warm welcome to AAD :)

Thanks Lévrier - I think of your name whenever I think of posts I've read on this forum! :D Joe's my first ever dog, let alone first ever greyhound, and I love him to bits - he's got a really high prey drive so wears his muzzle out and about, but he's never put a foot wrong, really. Took ages to come out of his shell (a year at least!) but he's now a really soppy sweetheart :)

Could I persuade you to post some more pics of your crew? A lot of the old photos have gone thanks to photobucket! x

Couple new pics!

Pebbles (blue fawn) and Maggie (brindle)

And the 4 remaining pups playing chase with the 2 crazy girls, Holly the Springer Spaniel and Ellie the Cockapoo.
White/brindle dog leaves Tuesday, darker brindle female leaves for England Wednesday, light brindle female and dark brindle male may be off to France but not 100% yet

It must be amazing but also totally crazy at your house at the minute!

I wont lie, I cant wait for the pups to be gone! One on one they're so good; chilled, quiet and cuddly...but even 2 together are just mental.

Their mum, who was only supppsed to be here until the pups were 14weeks but has been sort of foisted upon us, has had zero interest and that makes me sad. As despite the fact that she is so very easy to have around, she isnt meant to be here if that makes sense! I have enough to be dealing with, all my own dogs/ toddler/2 horses/pregnancy etc etc, without having to worry about trying to spend enough time with her too - and I feel bad for her!

Im hoping the right home comes along for her asap so she gets to spend the winter on someones sofa.

The blue fawn bitch is hopefully coursing at the end of this month and middle of next month, so is busy getting fit. The brindle is her fitness buddy, as despite being fantastically bred, has no flexion in her wrists which means the risk of injury during galloping is just far too high!

Then we have the mad Springer and Cockapoo bitches who just run themselves wild doing their own thing, so are no trouble except for making me dizzy 😂

Lastly we have the 3 mastiffs, the only bitch of the 3 is another who is here purely because we felt sorry for her 🙈 her breeding suggests she should've been a cracking animal but she just isnt what I want. She arrived as a horribly thin and dirty 8week old pup, and now at almost 10months she looks really well - having gone through some ugly/gangly/weird stages. But is no more than a nice pet, and she was only here as a working prospect...which she simply isn't. But again, finding suitable homes for mastiff types is far from easy and so she is still here a good 6months after I decided she wouldn't be a keeper 😏

So yes crazy is one way to describe it!

Gorgeous pictures Kim :) :) Pebbles is rather stunning!

Thank you 😀 she is a supermodel of greyhounds, in the flesh Ive probably never met another as pretty as her - and she has an amazing temperament too which is the cherry on top

That pic of all the puppies chasing Holly! :D What a handful!

Do you have a pic of the pups' mum, kimberleigh? She sounds such a good girl!
