hi all,
Ive heard alot of people talking about gridwork but Im not sure on what it is or if ive done it before-could anyone enlighten me :o thanks :D

It's where you jump a row of 2 or more fences in a straight line, often varying the distances between the fences. A bounce grid is where the jumps are so close together there is not a stride between the fences, so the horse has to land and take off again instantly :) You can also place poles between the fences to work on collecting and extending the stride. Gridwork is great for working on striding and takeoff points, and also is used for horses who like to rush a lot to the fences, and is a good exercise to get the horse interested and working well over jumps. There ya go :p xx

oooo i love grid work, i find it alot funner than jumping a course tbh horse prefers it 2 :P although i hate bounces, i usually do 1 or 2 strides between them lol
