Frank just offered me a great feeling trot.. he hasn't cruised like that for at least 9 months.. woop! (DJD in coffin joint, week 9 bf, 5 months since joint injection (was lame 7 weeks after the previous one))

Def an improvement on earlier in the week  when on sunday he ate no breakfast, seemed unhappy and stood on the pea gravel for 30 mins (which has previously only been used for rolling in!) slight pulse in his 'lame' foot led to a msg to trimmer (who rang me back later that day, big improvement on my farrier!) to discuss/offer to come out if req and conclude was poss going to abcess in that foot. However, given that he has returned to normal self I am reverting to my original possible diagnosis of running around in the rain on the hard ground and aggrevating that foot .. silly boy .

I am currently fascinated by frogs.. watching them shift is amazing.. you sort of think they are fixed but franks are most definitely shifting sideways in both backs and jiggling about in his fronts! :D

He is currently forgiven for being the fussiest eater ever :p.

Vet coming friday to do the free cushings test so will be nice to update him too.

Guilty too of obsessive frog watching.
Just back from dressage trainer who said that horse is just moving better and better , he loves working in his slippers.

tallyho I'm a geek anyway.. I don't think the step to hoof geek is much further!

I think he is trying oberon, work in progress anyway. We are still very much in walk work atm but I do a little trot occasionally just to assess how he feels. Plan is to keep walking until he has more new foot than old really then we will up slowly and see what he can do.

piccy for good measure.. this is a hind, am sure the extra frog on the top bit of this pic (forming in the groove sort of thing!) never used to be there! and it is def frog cos its squishy and I can't get it out :p

GS he has mostly been in his 'trainers' of late as growth wasn't keeping up with work just yet.. hopefully slippers eventually!
