I'm writing on behalf of friends of mine. They have a paid advert on H&H so hope this is not breaching any rules http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/clas...http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/&cc=2.2
They are looking for someone preferably with at least Stage 2 or equivalent able to do all usual stable duties, occasionally take sole charge, teach basic lessons & take out hacks. Must be english speaking, other languages a bonus. To start asap finish sept/oct time.
Anyway, they had a girl due to start next week but she has not been answering calls or emails for over a week now so think it is safe to say she's not coming. I worked here last year and it's a great job. My friend has been working here on his own since i left in October so he desperately needs someone to start so he can have a day off!
Some details for you:
Flexible days and hours, hourly pay (approx Euro8/hour), accommodation & bills included (I was taking home about Euro 1000 a month last year and that was all mine to spend! No bills!), nice horses, nice people to work for, real easy job to be honest, I can't recommend it enough. The only reason I'm not going back is I now have my own yard so it's not possible otherwise I'd be there in a flash. Don't need to speak Italian but it's a bonus if you do (and you will learn while you are there), German is also useful as lots of German tourists.
Lots of teaching, taking out rides and socialising as well as the usual yard duties. Can ride livery horses to make a bit of extra money if you want. One of the liveries lives round the corner and has his own pool so well worth befriending him (single guy too!), small town but really close to Florence & Siena for day trips or weekends away.
It's a really laid back place to work, would suit someone who is happy to work alone as well as in a small team. If you are interested please contact them directly (have posted link to advert above) or if you prefer to PM me your email address/phone number I will pass it on to them. If you are available to spend the summer in Tuscany and you have the experience you will have a blast. Tell 'em Shazza sent ya!
