How do you clean yours? I am having a sort out on Monday. I can never seem to clean my brushes they remain greasy and hairy. My grooming box is an embarrasement. Help......
Another vote for washing machine. Curry them well beforehand to remove hair . . . and then bung in a mesh bag and chuck in the washing machine (don't tell your OH).

Not the OP but you've prodded my rant button about metal curry combs!
Nobody on my yard has one; none of the local tack shops carry them; I've tried ordering one online a couple of times, only to be told a week later that they don't have them in stock and probably never will...
Am I hopelessly old-fashioned in thinking a metal curry comb's an essential part of a grooming kit? Or is there a nationwide shortage of the bloody things?

How can you use a body brush without a metal curry comb? Honestly genuine question ? 2/3 brushes on horse one on curry comb repeat until arm sore!!

I've resorted to using a Magic Brush as a metal curry comb, and then just emptying the Magic Brush with my fingers.
I WANT A METAL CURRY COMB, DAMN IT!
(Wow. I seem to have surprisingly strong feelings on this subject!)

Thankfully the shedding blade is still going strong so I use that as a metal curry comb, but also have not seen them around much! Have to admit I used to use the metal curry comb on a grey horse that liked to cake herself in mud as I did not have forever and it breaks it up in one gentle swipe! Gosh what would the pony club say!
