Grooming kit - cleaning service?

Would you use a grooming kit cleaning service if it was available on your yard? Kit is returned within 24hrs, all brushes washed, dried & sanitised.

Has anyone every used a service like this? Would it be worth your while, or do you prefer to run your brushes under the cold tap now and again?

I have seen the results of this service and the kit comes up like new!
 
I'd much rather clean it myself seeing as it only takes a few minutes

I put 'no', as I clean all ours myself about once a fortnight anyway!

That's why I'm asking JAK.. Katie brings her kit home every couple of weeks, shampoos the brushes in insecticidal shampoo, rinses, dries with a high volocity drier, and they come up an abolute treat, better than just cleaning it in the yard with cold water. She can use the brushes almost straight away as they are bone dry.

Now, there are some folks on the yard that are using totally FILTHY brushes on their horses and comment on how sparkling clean Bee is, and what a great job she does with her kit. So, ever enterprising she is going to offer the service as a few have already asked her to do it!!

Jak, I'll let you know how she gets on LOL maybe it won't be as popular as she thinks, there isn't any hot water on the yard which you really need to get grease off, so she is hoping it will boost her pocket money!!
 
great idea for pocket money booster and very enterprising - I think if I'd seen the evidence of a sparkling kit i'd go for it now- It doesn't take long to clean your kit but neither does it take long to wash the car/weed the garden/do the washing up etc and I never do any of those either!

I work full time and often late and theres barely enough time to ride never mind anything else so grooming kit gets sadly neglected and if i couldpay a fiver or less to get it back sparkling i would!

Maybe a re-think of the charges though - £1 a brush may work out more lucrative maybe than, say a fiver for a whole kit? Plus most will more likely lay out a quid without thinking several times a year than a fiver

I personally am on for anything that will save me time and give me more time with my neddies!
Maybe I'll fly them up the motorway to her Wendy LOL

So it seems most of you would rather do it yourself, unless you don't have the time. She has decided to give it a go, with a charge of £3 for up to 7 items. Will let you know how she gets on LOL... I don't think you should ever stop kids being enterprising (providing it's legal!)! I painted horse shoes as a kid! Most people on the yard work and maybe time is important and if only costing £3 then maybe it'll take off.. This time next year.........
 
I clean my own brushes (find washing up liquid v good for grease!) BUT if excellent cleaning was thrust under my nose for a few £ I's be hard pressed to say no... think it has a good chance of being successful!
 
i wash my own in hibiscrub and warm water and leave in airing cupboard to dry, so i really don't think i would pay for it, sorry.
 
At first I said no... but then I thought if it's cheap and they do quite alot of brushes, I would be tempted. Save me getting pruney hands! I used to fill the bath at home with my grooming kit... I was NOT popular!!
Having read your later posts, £3 is very reasonable and I would use the service

I put no, for the following reason. I don't really use a 'conventional' grooming kit!

The only brush I really use is a flicky brush and that isn't often! I tend to use a rubber grooming mit the most, followed by a hessian/wool mit - the later goes in the washing machine whenever it needs to, I have 2 so can rotate. The rubber mit gets scrubbed whenever needed.
