Grooming kit must haves?

So I've obviously got everything I 'need' but I'm going shopping tomorrow and fancy a few new goodies ;) Going to pick up some of those magic brushes, what else do people swear by?

Whilst we're at it, any recommendations for removing yellow staining from a white tail? I'll keep on top of it so the new hair is kept clean but I want to get it as white as possible now, it's pretty stained :,(
 
Can't help on the white tail thing (we have a 'no white above the ankles' rule here for good reason :) :) )

As for grooming kit, the must-haves' for me are:
natural fibre bodybrush
sheepskin mitt for polishing
linen stable rubbers (well, teatowels actually)

One of the most useful things I have is a dog comb with rotating teeth - fab on mane, tail and native-pony feathers as it doesn't tear the hair out.

I rub the body brush along it about every third or fourth time to get rid of the scurf and loose hairs and then knock it against the wall to remove all the junk. Its brilliant. This is the way people used to groom 'in the old days' and really brings up your horses coat and makes it shiny. So many people don't bother to groom properly these days , they are lazy and just use a quick brush over. I am one of them most days to be honest!! :)

I have a solo comb, thinning razor comb, body brush, hoofpick and hair grip in my grooming kit! I also have a little jar of bit butter that I smear on my horses bit.
 
Yikes. After years of having fully equipped grooming kits and never using half the things in it, my essentials are a rubber curry, a body brush, a hairbrush, baby oil, hoof pick and sponges. That's it. When I had greys I used Champion silver and talcum powder.

My farrier kit has more items in it than the grooming kit.
 
If you can find it for sale in the UK then Champion Tails tail powder is very good for white tails. Failing that try denture tablets. Both go in hot water and you have to soak the tail in them (below the dock obviously) for some minutes so you develop good muscles holding a bucket up!
 
For white tails uwash in head n shoulders, followed by a touch of silver shampoo for grey hair.
Grooming kit,
shedding blade
hoof pick with brush
pig oil
rubber curry comb
metal curry comb for cleaning brushes
wide dandy brush
wide body brush
I had a grooming kit for each horse (4) not that you'd know it, now I just have a large kit box
 
Second the Smart Groomer, mine is the best thing for getting mud off in winter (I use it on head, legs and body), plus it is great when shedding.
 
My essentials are -
rubber curry comb
body brush
hairbrush
hoof pick
Kelato Amino Gloss (smells amazing and keeps my boys coats looking great)
Sard wonder soap for getting stains out of tails (grey, part andalusian who makes it his mission to get as dirty as possible)
laundry optical brightener (again for the tail)
Top Tails detangler
towel
 
For grooming kit,
rubber curry comb
soft bristle dandy brush
leather backed body brush
metal curry comb
hairbrush
hoofpick
sponge

For tail,

wash with a bar of pure soap "sunlight" or similar with water as hot as you and your horse can stand, rinse and rewash with purple shampoo, then condition and apply detangler or coat gloss. If still not white enough was again with the purple shampoo and apply Champion Tails stain remover then condition again.
