I'm going to be showing my new mare in hand in a few weeks however she sweats up whilst travelling, she's not clipped as not a ridden pony so not really an option. I just don't want to arrive for the sweat on her flanks to dry into the thick clumps (not sure how to describe!) of hair. Is it better to sponge off her flanks and put wicking fleece on for a while after we get there or any other ideas welcomed!
TIA

I use the 'magic brush', it's brilliant for brushing dry sweat/mud off plus some ShowSheen spray to make it easier to brush out. :)

Update: Doesn't look like that first link wants to work but if you just google 'magic brush for horses' loads come up, they all work the same! :) I got mine from Countrywide Farmers for £2! You can also get the ShowSheen cheaper than that, was just the first one that came up! :)
