grooming

My australian shepherd has very thick undercoat like long haired german shepherd I have just bought coat stripper from ebay but he hates it.He seems to be very sensitive with any type of grooming although its done regular.What grooming brushes can you recommend for long haired sensitive dog.I always used rake on my golden retriever but this isnt going to work with him.Any ideas

You will just have to work on getting him use to the tools. Peanut butter smooshed onto a tupperware lid works wonders.

Thanks , for young dog he has very intense coat.I have been using right tools will have to be patient as he just isnt keen.

Don't use a Furminator on him!!! My young one hates getting groomed so he either gets a bone shoved in his gob or a chew toy or ball. The older one isn't fussed either so I use two brushes, he sniffs/mouths one while I sneakily brush him with the other

I thought it was designed to strip undercoat.Need to buy new brush again lol

It is but its essentially a blade that in dogs with a coat like aussie will just be ruined by. Split hairs, in even regrowth etc.
