Im hoping to take a gap year once i finish my a levels. In that time im hoping to go to work either at an eventers yard or showing yard. But can anyone give any tips from personal experiance of how to go into this? Just started my a levels in september so i have a way to go yet but whats the harm in starting early right ;)

Hiya its definatly worth popping into yards quite often they need grooms but are not activily advertising also, if they havnt got a vacancy they may now somebody who does. Take a copy of your CV and leave it there as you never know when a vacancy will come up.
 
Ask around locally. People often look for staff by word of mouth. I got my job through a local grooms agency. I aslo looked on websites like yard and groom regularly.

Do you have a riding instructor that might be able to ask around for you? I found mine really helpful for getting work.
