I am having trouble with new thoroughbred, flat footed, sensitive, gelding. He has been cold shod with aluminum fronts 3 times since end of March
suggested hot shoeing with steel but told not a good idea as hooves are weak. Just been 'googling' and found Ground Control Plastic shoes (USA) reviews look good, has anybody had experience here? Apparently they stay on for ages, don't slip, very hard wearing, and lightweight. Help, concerned re-doing shoes every 2/3 weeks at the moment as aluminum doesn't last....clank,clank.
