Hi, i am looking for a local (sleaford/grantham/boston area) contractor to build an outdoor menage without costing the earth! Any advice welcome!

Yes, thanks. 28k which although I know he does a good job, is a lot considering my land is flat and well drained. Thanks anyway!

Do you want a specialist horse contractor, or just a groundworks outfit?
If you can get a proper design from the people who are suppling your surface, ie what drainage is required, what depth of earth needs taking out, there is no reason why a small civil engineering outfit cannot do the works. I know of a company locally that should be able to do the work if drawings were provided.

Only know them because my Mum does their website, the owner of the company is a family friend. Not 100% sure if they do this kind of thing (think they may just do bigger projects) or how much it would be, sorry, it appears I am not much use
. Just know that they are good at what they do and all staff I've met are lovely. x

Mine is currently being built by a company at Strelley (Nottingham). It will be finished in about 2 weeks' time!

Sorry, don't know about proper arena companies, but if you are after a decent groundwork contractor, who has built arenas before, I can recommend Sean Clare, Major Farm Services, he is in Swineshead.
