Does anyone have any exercises they do on the ground to aid their position and make them more secure in the saddle?

I've heard of one where you have your back against the wall with your heels touching the wall and you then squat down (whilst keeping your back against the wall) and hold, and then return to standing.

I'd just be interested to know, as I'd love to help make my position more secure! (Plus of course tone up!)

balance ball exercises are very good for core stability. sitting on it, kneeling on it, keeping your balance. there are loads more suggestions online etc.
i find that rowing gives me a lot more core stability too, fwiw.
