I'm trying to mix things up a bit with my boy because I'm getting bored with our schooling routine - jumping twice a week and flatwork two-three times. If we hack, we go once a week and spend most of it doing fast work.
Anyway, I've decided to do some groundwork to have a bit more contact time with him because recently I seem to just tack up, ride and go home.
I'm already out of ideas as to what I can do with him
He will follow me around the arena and trot alongside me so I've done a few "trot poles" (two poles, me running and him following me, and he gave up once he realised he could get away with walking over them
), some bending around jump wings and some flexing.
What else can I do to make these sessions fun for the two of us?
milk chocolate digestives and diet coke on offer for any suggestions
