Now the weather is eventually getting a bit better and the days longer, I can hack/walk into a small sandschool down the road from where Standie is living. Its too small (IMO) to do much ridden work in there but I am going to commit to doing 1 short session a week inhand on groundwork/polework. Does anyone have any recommendations for a website/facebook site that I could use for inspiration?

The free Slow Walk Work group on Facebook, and I'm also seeing great content from a trainer I know irl, Long Drove Holistic something or other. It's so important to address the actual horse you have in front of you and so many end up doing piles etc without being ready. These programmes deal with that, the fundamentals.

Then there are loads of amazing programmes such as Diana Waters' paid programme, who runs the SWW group, Annie Dillon, Ritter Dressage etc that are either groundwork or part groundwork.

I love Miri Hackett, Hacket Equine.
She has some videos on her youtube channel, I also subscribe to her patreon, i pay less that £10 a month for whole access but you can also pay for select videos.
I found her very helpful with groundwork for my youngster.

Personally I want to know what I am trying to achieve through using groundwork, and clarifying that informs whose methods I want to follow.

Agreed but connection and postural work is always a great place to start for a newbie. I think we you are a newbie it can be hard to judge different programmes, and I always recommend a few so that owners can have a look at the individual, and their set up (free/paid, how feedback of any is delivered etc) and see if they think they'd like to work "with" them.

We certainly all learn differently so there's that too.
