Me 'ermm we usually trot this bit but only to the corner because I can't run any further ?.

This makes it look terribly rural, whereas this is actually our only bridleway and it goes to the A38. We did terrify some poor lady with a westie as we came off the main road because I was in front and obviously she just saw Frank coming round the hedge. Frank spotted her though so stopped and we reversed

Goodness I'm not surprised the woman was terrified! Reminds me of when I was hacking with my daughter and we met a small cart being pulled by a couple of shetlands, further down the lane we met a couple of shetlands completely on their own. They had been attached to the back of the cart but had come adrift without the driver noticing and being shetlands had no doubt taken the opportunity to stop for a snack. Fortunately the driver noticed and came back for them! My daughter's eventer took it all in his stride, my little dramatic TB was a bit less sanguine but we all lived to tell the tale!

I'm surprised they weren't still having a snack ?.

It's so rare we've ever actually met anyone down there, usually I lead him along the main road as it's a short stretch and because I think that makes more sense to drivers than me walking behind a pony they can't quite see. Not that he's fussed at all! So he's not usually first round the corner- but as we had Pie I figured it was more obvious there was at least one horse so let him carry on in front. I may have said 'what are you looking at now!' before saying oh, a human, well done good boy ;)
