I gave my mare a pretty dodgy/patchy full clip (face/legs on) around November time but I need her to look smart for the showing season. Iv left it to grow out as I havent been able to do much with her due to the weather. So, should I leave it to grow out or clip it off again (only neater!)

Personally i would take it all off.
I will be doing my mare again at the end of Feb prob and it will all come off, currently she still has her legs on

Yep take it off! I recently bought one with a awful clip which as soon as I can work him again the whole lot is coming off and I always clip my mare in feb which will be her last one. Her summer coat always looks lovely as she is almost black.

Ok I think il get my OH to do it as he's the expert lol. I have clipped in jan b4 & never had any issues regarding summer coat. Currently trying to grow back her mane by leaving neck off of rugs but I suppose I will just need to stuck it back on if a do her face/neck! :(

Another vote for taking it all off. I'm currently trying to work out what to do with Kal's one bald leg (shaved due to surgery) . . . trouble is it's only bald from the top of the thigh to halfway down his fetlock. As his other three legs are still sporting hair, he looks mighty odd. He'll be clipped once last time just before his clinic with Paul Tapner in late Feb and I'm debating whether to have all four legs clipped to even things up or just hope that his coat will have grown back sufficiently and leave well enough alone.
