Growing out a hogged mane

We are 6 weeks in and have reached about 1.5 inches of mane.
I hope it won't be too like a bog brush as hi mane is quite narrow.

Any tips for managing it when it gets longer ?

Shame its not rug time of year as neck rugs can be very helpful to flatten down! When I grew my horses out I waited until it started "flopping over", then put in lots of little plaits (with extra plaiting bands to get to drop down!) to lay the mane.

We did go through a big Prewasjki stage first though

Brushing daily with a wet brush helped a bit with mine however he his mane is so thick near his ears its over both sides! Would of done plaits but his mane is rather hard because of the thickness!
