Roughly how long does it take, our new boys are all hogged, and we would need them plaitable for next summer, would that be likely, I've never had a hogged pony before
Few, thanks, We would like to show them so they will need their manes weather we do SHP, WHP, native or Show pony LOL, was worried we would look stupid in presentations, now just the winter season we will look errr afro!
mm, im hoping with a snuggy hood and with then being smaller it will flop down quicker, if not we can just keep hog the ones we are competeing suppose..
Chex mane is a bit longer than that and still standing straight up
I'm hoping it'll begin to fall to one side soon, but its just so thick that I think it'll have to be about twice as long before there's enough weight in it!
Thanks! I hope they do, we are experoenced mane battlers havoing had many natives before, but it it doesn't work their main purpose is competition and Hogged it will be.
Got Sparks in December, but grew enough to plait for show in June. Lyra hood really helped bring it over, as did lots of plaiting and pulling the odd bit (so it wasn't too thick).
We got an ex polo pony last June who had a hogged mane. She looked like a right thumper with a Mohican as her mane grew out, which went up and up and up. Then one day it started tipping over to the offside (thankfully) and she now has a stunning flowing mane.
Your horse's mane will definitely be able to be plaited by next summer, no question.
