Growing rate of welsh D

Hi , anyone know when a typical welsh D gets to its full adult height? I'm looking at buying 4yr old who is currently around 14.2/3 . Bottom end higher than withers at the moment. I know the Irish bred type tend to grow slowly but I'm not sure about the welshies? Mine was 7 when in got him so full grown. What height do you think he is likely to make.? thanks !

Mine had reached adult height by the age of 4 - she just stocked out through shoulders etc after that

The Welsh D I had, I bought him as a 3yo at about 15hh and he got to 15.2hh. He'd finally finished filling out by age 8 I'd say.

My last two were mares, both grew an inch between 5 & 6 and filled out after that -both were 8 by the time they'd finished filling out.

I currently have a 5 yr old gelding who's grown a good inch in the past 4 months, and I expect at least another inch out of him in the next 12 months. He's got a lot of filling out to do and I don't expect him to have finished until he's 8 either.

My boy was 14.1/2 as a 3yr old & then sat at 14.3 for a few yrs then last year he had a final spurt and made 15hh & chunked out (at 8yrs old) & hes in 6ft3 rugs lol!

Mine wasn't fully grown, chunked out and developed until around 8/9.
