After having my first foal this year (not me personally haha) I am very interested about Foals and the way that they change colour from birth onwards. Does anyone have any pictures of their horses from birth to now as I would be interested to see them?

I have a now 2yo bay filly.
She had really light legs and face when she was born and took her till she lost her baby fluff and grew her winter coat to "bay out" and have all her black points.

Turned in to a very ugly almost jet black yearling

Got a slight grey colour in the coat and started to whiten around the face (last winter)

And this is her now as a 4year old (she doesn't have a wall eye, it's the flash of the camera)

Connemaras have the most amazing ability to change colours from foal coats through to adults. My lad was quite ordinary in that he was registered as a dun colt foal and is now at 13, pure white with dun spots coming through! Hopefully they will rapidly multiply and join the dots for him to become dun again as currently he wants to be a poobald and I no likey!!

Ah lovely photos and great to see them changing, I have a little bay filly but she is going really dark in patches and she is confusing me now as to what colour she will be??

When Enya had her passport done as a foal the person who did it said she would turn grey, but I have no idea how they can tell as I would of thought by looking at her she would of stayed bay.

Nope, she's always been pretty obviously going to grey (for those that have a bit of experience).
