Hi,

I'm a newish rider and I'm wondering if anyone knows of low level, fun adult pony camp type things?

I can see there are show jumping, XC and dressage camps but really I want lower level than this.

Types of things I was thinking: group hacks, pole clinics, general lessons, maybe try things like working equitation etc.

Overall relaxed fun where you don't have to bee any good, but with your own horse/ pony or at least the option of bring your own.

And definitely organised rather than a venue you can stay and book activities.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Following also, as looking for something very similar for me and Standie as due to his breeding and our new partnership we're just not going to be ready for anything else this summer. but would love to get out and about for a few days.

South Coast Riding Camps do several, from Hicksted to Parwood and others in between. Very much user friendly, happy hackers to low key comp folk. Sessions are from flat work, poles, sj, maybe grids, and sometimes xc.
They get booked v quickly, have a page on Facebook.

sounds fab but too far away from me in North Shropshire - happy to travel up to 2 hours?

The confidence camps at Somerford are supposed to be really good and are aim at. I part loan a cob and his owner took him there last year, he is very green in the school but she had a blast with him, they did the poles and logs classes. They do book up fast though.

I did one at Lincomb a couple of years ago, horse was on limited exercise due to injury so we did flat work, pole work and inhand. It was great fun!
