I really dislike non horsey people!!:mad::mad:

not all of them, some are lovely. but there is one in my college class bitching at me and saying how i should prioritise a drama exam over my horse, and see her less, and ride less etc etc just so i can please them all.

why? because i missed one hour out of many rehearsals i have done. really cant be doing with people like that!

I find horsey people bitchier than normal folk :p

But i dont get why this girl is bitching at you? Surely if you get behind on your work or what not its your problem not theres!! Personally id avoid said person.

I can understand where you're coming from and ofcourse your horse is very important. But being a drama teacher I can also understand where your group is coming from. It is always very difficult to orgainse rehearsals that everyone can make. When is your exam?

Are these rehearsals with your teacher or just sessions that you've orgainsed yourselves?

If i'm honest i'm just as frustrated as you are, I've not ridden my ponies for nearly 6weeks now due to exams and orgainsing a school play. Doesnt mean i love my ponies any less , i'll just make up for it when the play is finished and in the holidays.

yeah I get your trouble and believe me been there and done that! and hated people who think its fine just to "leave them out a few more hours" as one of my friends said "I eat my tea at 7 some days and 9 others why cant bolly?" but I think any school commitments do really come first especially when other people are relying on you...

I have done 24 hours of scheduled rehearsal. I took one hour to do an exam and my mum has been having to look after my horse and sit in the car for three hours waiting so we can go home because i live so far away. so i'm not the only one being put out. some we organise ourselves, the exams friday and we have a voluntary one tomorrow but with his attitude i can't see myself there!

Drama performances are done as a group. If this is for an examined piece which i suspect it is, it makes rehearsals very difficult if someone is missing.
Practical exams will be finished very soon so of course groups want to rehearse as much as they can. I know my students did. some even stayed after school every night to get it right.

Why areyou not doing rehearsals in your lunch hour instead of afterschool if its so inconvienient?
If your exam is Friday then tomorrow would be the last time for a full run through, I know how angry my students would be if someone in their group had your attitude the day before their final exam. Just do the rehearsal, the exam then you can forget about it...
Dontforget in group work your not just working for yourself you're working as a team...

This isn;t meant to sound harsh its exactly what i would say to my own students.

*sigh* i'm not getting into it again. i am there for my group and just one stressy boy starts a hooly. i will be there tomorrow as i have all day and afterschools for the past six or more weeks and will also be at the exam.

Is your teacher aware of the situation? I'd be very upset if one of my kids felt like you do.

Glad you are going tomorrow, the rest of your group will appreciate it even if this lad doesnt.

Do post to say how you go on. and Good luck ;)

well believe it or not one of my teachers dislikes me and her own school kids are her angels, the other one is absolutely fine. (i go to a different college 1/2 times a week for drama)
other members of the group helped to resolve it, i've said my bit and wont let it affect my performance tomorrow. thanks will say how it went, fingers crossed the exam works out well. :o
