So bathed my mare today as i rode early and the OH away so thought a bit of bonding time with my mare would be lovely
She was an angel and i made a thorough effort of giving her a good scrub she looked like something out of a fairy liquid advert and once i rinsed her with the hose with a little help from the rain she was gleaming!!! So after a quick dry off and on with the fleece and into the stable, i popped to do a few things and let her dry off. I then gave her a good brush, pulled her mane, gave her tail a good seeing too and general had a lovely pampering session, eventually i turned her out early and can you guess how she repayed me ............

yes she rolled
within a minute of getting in the field this is from the mare who hardly ever rolls
it is beneath her apparently she gives a look of disgust if the others are rolling anyhow thankfully she is bay so doesnt look to bad but why do they do it??? Do they know that there mummy will be cross
, is it just to wind us up or generally a way of them sticking a hoof up to us!!!!
I should be thankful i dont have a grey as my freinds mare walked in rolled in the muddy patch right where i had emptyed the water buckets, she was a bay on one side any as i was laughing saying she looks good this side at which point she got up and promtly rolled on the other side cue one bay horse lol!!
