As its says really. Anyone else suffering?
Was turning him out for a couple of hourse a day in the snow then noticed yesturday when I got him in he was a bit lame and guess what had blinking mud fever! Most annoying, going to keep him in now untill it clears up or the snow melts.

yes im another in that situation!!! thought it was just me with the odd horses! my oldie has got it really bad on his hind legs & not so bad on his front legs. hes now on antibiotics to help it along as hes got a poor immune system. Im slowly winning now but its been a pain as he wont stay in 24/7, & typically the mud is in its way back!

My horse is the opposite!! She had bad mud fever before the snow and was kept in but now snow here she is out and touch wood mud fever is nearly gone

We're like berry. We have a fairly constant low grade scabbiness - no lameness. I've seen him compeltely clear only twice in his life. Once in a summer drought and now. I don't want the snow to last - and I'm sure the mud when it melts will be really bad. But I'm enjoying the respite from mud fever routines!
