Maybe Im classed as a 'rude rider' by motorists- I NEVER take my hand of the reins when a car is passing, I am trying turn the horses head slightly towards the car, and using my leg to prevent accidental swinging-out of quarters.. I do try and nod and say thank-you if a car coming towards me has slowed and can see me. If a car is passing from behind, Im hoping theyr looking at the road, not at me. I do nod and smile when they have safely passed, but I don't know if they can see me in their mirror. or see me nod and smile wrapped in my scarf! I am certainly not being intentionally rude, and I hope they understand I am grateful to careful drivers, even if I am not frantically waving!
