Someone had arranged to come and see about sharing my horse yesterday. I just don't have enough to time to ride as mch as she needs (for her weight issues

!) so thought it'd be great to get someone to ride her during the week for me. They didn't bother bloody turning up! I waited for half an hour, tried ringing and text them but have still heard nothing from them! How rude

! Is it really that difficult to just text and say you can't make it?!?!

Anyway, seens as I had horse in, groomed and looking lovely, I took advantage of the prearranged babysitter (MIL) and took her out for a little ride myself. Now she hasn't been ridden, at all, since the end of November, so I was a little nervous but she was an absolute star. She had a little about-turn at the sight of a flock of seagulls and shied at a sheep in the hedge, but other than that she was perfect! My little star!
Now I'm not sure I can be ar$ed getting a sharer, seems like it might be more bother than it's worth, and that's before it's really even started!

Think I will just take her shoes off (may as well save money

) and let her fester in the field for a couple more months then get her back into some proper work in the spring/summer when I can ride more.

Weight Watchers cakes for all, if you got this far!

I had a couple of people like that when looking for a sharer.

Don't give up though - I found a fabulous girl who rode him until he was sold 18months later.

Although the fact you've not ridden her since november then expect others to get on her first worries me?

A for the shoes - take them off anyways as she'll prob cope fine, if she's as cobby as she looks in your sig.

My friend's just ahd the same thing happen to her. Person was supposed to come see her horse - to have on loan - friday but never turned up, not even a text or call and she's not answered her phone! Why are people so rude?

Worst thing was I think it was someone from this forum who has been this rude! Why do people bother? They talk themselves up, say how great they are and yet don't even have the common courtesy to let someone know if they've changed their mind?!

Oh no no no no no no! I wouldn't expect anyone to get on her first before me! I just haven't ridden her for ages but was going to get on first in front of potential sharer! Probably crazy on that account but it would have shown her being as fresh as she can be!

Kenzo - I was wanted to send a snotty text, at least, but knowing my luck I'd do that and get a reply back that she'd been in a car accident on the way to mine, or a close family member had died or something just as awful to make me feel soooo bad!
