Can I have a theraputic vent on here please?!
Ggrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Last night I was seriously tempted to punch someone, to the extent that if i hadn't walked away I might have done.
I was stood watching a friend riding the horse who decked my hubby last week (lets not mention the broken arm and another 5 weeks of him moaning). This girl rides beautifully but he was being a little tricky. I commented on how lovely she rode but what a handful he was being for her in the corners. To which my intended punchee who was stood near me at the time said "well yes but you would think that when you compare it to your horse".
At first I assumed she meant it in a complimentary way but then she followed it up with something along the lines of Hovis is a cob, with common breeding so not likely to be highly strung, he's damn near dead from the neck up and you could put a baby on him. He's far too easy so therefore won't teach me to ride anythinjg more complicated.
I paraphrase slightly but you get the gist.
WTF!!!
Hovis is 5 years old, can be strong and stroppy (parked my friend into a fence a little while back), is still unblanced so can be difficult to steer and just because he doesn't freak at a worm popping its head above the ground doesn't mean he's dead from the neck up. I was tempted to tell her to get on him and see how "easy" he is but I couldn't do it to Hovis.
So balls! I'm proud my lad stands still to be mounted, doesn't freak at silly things, is very brave, will try anything and is built like a brick outhouse. I'm proud of his amazing speed, his strength, his utterly loving nature and the fact his feet are the size of plates.
So
silly cow!
Phew rant over.
Thank you!
