After a year off due to lameness, two operations, lots of slow fittening work (dull, dull, dull!), much SJ practice, endless hours of flatwork and two days at EHOA Ely this week I was finally looking to forward to running my young horse for the fist time at Oasby.

Guess what...? Despite a ballot sticker he has been balloted out! Typical, as there isn't another run for him until Eland Lodge.

I suppose I should count my blessings - that leaves time for even more flatwork practice and at least my other horse got in the novice on Saturday.

Ho hum, back to the drawing board.

Ah thats so annoying, much dressage and showjumping practice instead, its never as good though.

Panic number two - my novice entry for Lincolnshire has disappeared from the bdwp website. However have just rung the nice lady who assures me that the horse is still entered and it is a computer error. PHEW!

Gosh have you only just found out? Poor you, the ballot lists were up last week.

Must be really dissapoinying for you especially after using a sticker.

Yes, have been off work for a week and no internet at home at the mo!

On the bonus side the EHOA pics from Ely are up on www.situpandkick.com. I'm in group 3 on a big bay horse with a white face, H_J is in that group too with a pinkish body protector. One pic only of my TB in group 4 jumping up a step (my body protector is navy/yellow). NickyM and SteveGG were in group 1, though the photographer didn't turn up until they were nearly done.
