Grrrrr!

Excuse me?! She is not a 'poor bloody thing' she is well looked after by someone who has her best interests at heart.

Also, in your next post I don't quite understand what you mean about cycling? She would have to be on the lead for that and frankly, I would consider that dangerous, especially if another dog ran up to us I could fall off the bike and then what would happen?

As for the dogs 'fate' I am doing what is right by her - she is not being put to the death sentance or going somewhere to be mistreated. I have been inundated with replies from what sound like very good homes so there are plenty to choose from and all homes, and potential owners will be vetted very carefully by me so you don't need to worry. I do worry if it is concern for animals that brings some people to this site or the enjoyment of arguing or finding fault in every other poster

No just those who give up on animals deemed "difficult" because they will not listen to advice, and can not be bothered to provide the training said animal needs.

You can get things that attach to your bike which you then attach to the dogs lead (or something like that) leaving you free to control the speed and direction of travel safely ;)

StrawberryFields I don't know where you have advertised, but please make sure that she is spayed before she is re-homed. I had a quick skim over your other posts but I can't see whether she is or isn't.

Strawberry, it's amazing - you train the dog to trot along beside you on a bike, the same way as you teach the heel, and you hold the lead in your hand or attach it to a springer device on the bike and off you go. It exercises the dog, takes a lot of energy off them and teaches them control - you come with me when I say so, you turn left and right when I say so, you stop when I say so.
Lots of dog-aggressive dogs are much better off a bike as they have to concentrate and keep moving.
I manage it with a German Shepherd two or three times a week without falling off and breaking anything, huge dog fights etc, a small dog should not be difficult to control.
If you want I can talk you through it.

I said poor thing because you seem not to be bothered with the dog or making any changes in order to make life better for you both. There are tonnes of people on here willing to give tonnes of advice for free and in their own free time, but you don't seem to want to take it.

And theres me dieing to take my boy for a walk but cant because hes ruptured hus cruciate!Anyway i have two staffies both dogs run alongside my bike before one of my boys injured himself, both dogs picked up commands quick like left, right, faster and steady. My older boy can be dog aggressive but when out with the bike stays with me at all times off the lead.To us its fitness and happiness for both dogs i work nights with my partner at home and both dogs come with me to the yard. Both my boys are big bullies and have never pulled me off my bike even when on there leads so i dont think you would have a problem with a jrt.She does sound very sweet and needs attention and excersise along with discipline i would personally rehome her as she sounds like an unhappy dog who needs time and comminent. She never asked for you to have her,you made that choice so you should do the right thing by her.Sorry.

So you cant say poor dog but you can say "she is so annoying" you also say "I just want a dog I can enjoy" you could if you bothered to put some training in. If people can cycle with humungus breeds without falling off and breaking im sure you can with a j.r.t.
Fast paced exercised actually takes the dogs ability to react away, it's a very good way of flooding the dog with what they would usually react to, because it's the only way to take the handlers bad habits of standing still and making a huge fuss of the situation or wrapping the dogs lead around there hands (which in turn) makes the situation ten times worse.
Cycling makes the dog run past the distraction and the owner has to concentrate more on cycling then grappling with the dog:)
I hope you do find a fab hope just be aware some people will say anything but their prayers to get a dog, esp a free one, they will even brush off the behaviours you rhyme off simply because they just want something new, it's only a week later when the new becomes old that the desperation to "have" turns to desperation to "get rid". Alsong as you make the homer aware you will take her back at any stage there is a problem this will give her a good back up.

I haven't seen your advert but please dont put free to good home, if someone gets something for nothing they wont value it and at the first opportunity when it becomes a nuisance it will be rehomed. I'm not just talking about dogs im talking about any animal.

Also if you charge for her for eg £70 then you will know the person really wants her and is not just looking for something for free. It is true what someone said about people getting free or cheap dogs to be used for dog fighting for their fighting dogs to practice on,and thats not a nice way for any pet dog to die this way. These people seem nice and they bring their wives/girl friends along with their children so it all looks like they are a normal family who are looking for a pet.

I do think its a good idea to have her spayed before selling her, because that will stop anyone wanting her just for breeding, if she's wanted just for a pet the person who gets her wont care. It does cost a bit of money to do this but just think of it this way it will be your last gift to her. :)
