Grrrrrrr....Abcess!

So annoyed, Ellis has gone sore.
We had a farrier incident a couple of weeks ago, snatched his foot down when shoe was being nailed on! So suspected he may develop something. He had a pad on for a few days to keep it clean and it seemed fine. So I thought we'd escaped an infection - no such luck!
Have poulticed him, but looks like I'll have to get the shoe off to burst it.
I'm just annoyed because he's been lunging so nicely this week, and I was really getting into restarting his training. Ho hum..... another few days off!

I had a tB who was a pro at abcesses!!! The farrier told me to pour runny honey into the hole 2/3 times a day, keep her in and not poultice it. It does work but try to get the sqeezy bottles of honey - its a lot easier. She was out in 2 days.
