Ok is anyone elses older horse really grumpy at the moment!!!!

My old man hates the cold weather and is having a proper strop at me at the moment as have had to take him off haylage and put him onto hay!!!
" he is like you dont seriously expect me to eat THAT!!!! lol!"

he keeps pulling faces (not like him) and has become a delinquent (rearing at the door this morning to come out)

even nipped my butt with a cheeky grin on his face yesterday!:(

My youngster is his usual annoying cheeky self and mr grumpy has even told him off a few times, poor soul! He isnt used to being told off by his field pal so doesnt get out the way quick enough hence has been on the receiving end of a few nips and kicks last few days he he! good job old man not shod and is arthritic lol!

He is alwasy grumpy this time of year, he makes me laugh! just wondered if anyone elses is the same ;)

Yes my cob gets super grumpy!
She has a face like thunder when I arrive at the field, and is horrible to her companion :D
They both cheer up once the food and hay is dished out though :D

My old chap can sulk for England. He puts on such a face! However he always behaves, well 99% of the time!

My pony even though he's not that old he was sooo grumpy and hated to have me around unless I was giving him food! He seems to be improving now but he hated the cold, rain and wind! It was almost impossible to catch as it was just a gave of chase for him.

Oh yes ! Dives into his feed like a ravenous monster and heavens help anyone who gets between him and HIS food.
He also a a long sulky ears back 'I'm sulking because life's not fair' face.

Complains about being tacked up but brightens up once he's out the gate.

Pretends not to like being fussed but will creep closer if you are giving attention to another horse and gently put his head on my shoulder. Love the grouchy old git :)

My old chap 20 yo who has never been an field escapee .... Eating my lunch last week he galloped past the window (heading for 4 foot snow drifts and a cattle grid hidden under the snow :-o... Thankfully managed to catch him by his rug straps after he fell over twice in the snow...he was unhurt and very smug and is now in guantanamo field with 7 foot fence!! Git!

Lol glad it's not just mine that's is so flipping grumpy!
Mine also pretends he isn't interested in fuss but is straight there like a jealous head if I am giving my youngster attention lol!
He is a monster but I love him lol :)
