Are ponies sometimes just anti human? Mine really dislikes human contact. I suppose it’s learned behaviour. I’m never horrid to him. Have owned him for seven years. Suppose he’s just him.

My companion pony can be a bit anti human. He had a rough start in life. He’s mellowed a bit in old age but he is still deeply suspicious of most humans. He detests any vet and most men although he loves our farrier who is quite a large man and he would normally avoid. He enjoys a groom but if you’re fussing him over the stable door he’ll usually allow about 10 seconds before he’s done and he’ll leave
