I have mine on full livery, lovely yard & I trust them implicitly. I also try to get down at least every other day to ride out, school or generally potter about.
This week though I've been away on a course & miss him terribly I hate not riding or having contact with him & I get really bad withdrawal symptoms lol. I know we shouldn't humanise them but I think is he wondering where I am? I know he is being looked after but I hate not having that day-to-day contact.

If I don't ride, I get really edgy and short fused. I see mine all the time though as they're on a private rent, otherwise I really would go cuckoo.

I'm used to it now - over the last year or two between my mare being lame or preganant and me having surgeries we've not done a huge amount of riding

I havent ridden since the heroes ride at Ascot - so whats that, July 2010? Im not meant to ride after the neck thing, but I know im a nightmare. Ive got Grape to breed from, and thats all well and good - but I know im horrible. I just dont seem to be able to control it when it hits me. I got on my friends pony for a plod round the block back in the summer, and the difference in me was incredible.

Need to lose weight and start again. If Grape bombs as a broodie I may well have the perfect horse for me in her - and even if she doesnt bomb, she will only be 8 when she has this one, so shes plenty young enough to do stuff with.

My daughter is horrible if she doesn't ride at least 4 times a week! She turns into such a mardy monster with an itchy arse that can't sit still if we get unrideable weather!!

The last time we went on holiday she was starting to get grumpy by the 2nd week. We ended up going to a jousting show & just the smell of horses gave her that 'fix' :)

I am the mother of 2 little girls who argue and get tired and grumpy at school and my mother has dementia. If I can't ride it all gets on top of me and I feel horrible (and have to hold it all in).

Went for a great gallop today and was able to deal with all of it. My horse should be prescribed!

That's me and I am older enough to know better!

I'm exactly the same- I get all edgy and grumpy and unsmiley if it's been a while since the last ride. Sometimes a good gallop is all it takes, for sure!

Me me me! I'm 5 1/2 months pregnant with my second and it's driving me mad, plus my mare has had health issues on and off for two and a bit years which has been frustrating to say the least.

I'm compensating by overspending on competition gear in preparation for dressage with my mum's new horse in the autumn, but I should know better that it will probably be next year before I get my nerve back!

I don't know how old your daughter is tinap, but mine's 25 and she's still horrid if she can't ride regularly. I'm just grateful she lives with her partner now, and he has to put up with the worst of it and not me!

Yeah, I'm really grumpy when I can't ride. My little horse seems to struggle to stay in consistent work, I think he's just a bit fragile and unlucky. :( I need one of those solid horses that you could hit with a bus and it would just look at you and go "is that the best you can do?" whilst denting the bus. My sister had one once, indestructible. :D

I did get grumpy/unsettled if i didnt ride, i like routine!, but now i can relax i wont be backing my 3yr old till june so im having a break for once :D

Yes very, riding has been very limited this year with snow, ice , endless rain and not enough day light :(. I probably havnt ridden more than 4 times this year and the weather for the weekend is meant to be a wash out! Roll on spring :).

I had a bad car accident and currently laid up at home. Haven't ridden for two weeks, I normally ride 4 times a week. I'm absolutely gutted, I'm limited to cuddles with my boy! Can't wait to get back on my feet!
