Guess the age of my horse by his teeth? :)

I shall explain, he has a dutch passport which says he was born may 2001, I however did not believe this to be the case as he just looks and acts much younger. Much digging and emailing people in holland have since revealed the passport is in fact fake so I have no idea of his real age (yet to have vet out, and didn't ask dentist as at the time don't know about his passport)

Everyone at yard thinks he is younger than 11 so was just after some people's opinions!

My mare is 11 and her teeth are 'older looking' than your boy's and from my (limited) knowledge on teeth , I'd say he was about 6 or 7

you would need to take many more pics of the teeth at different angles to age from the teeth!! fronts look good, and good color of gums!

From looking at front teeth alone, I would say between 5 and 8 mo older, but would need to see teeth from the side too guess
MOre accurately!

Is he microchipped? We have two horses which were imported from Holland and both are microchipped. That might be a way of finding out his age.

He has a microchip in the passport, I was unable to find it myself (work in a small animal vets and borrowed a microchip reader) but have found out the chip was sold to a stud book in 2005 but it was never registered.
