luckily he's still too weak and babyish to be able to do the "testing you" part, i think.
mind you, he was chucking himself around most impressively in the field the other day when he got excited to see dinner coming, and i was thinking "crikey, i didn't know he could do that, thank god he didn't do it with me on!"

Yep suffolk punches have little legs and are always ginger.

The white hind fetlock is typical Dales but IMO he is built too heavily.

Prolly like you say, bit of shire in there!

I would of thought he would have more white on him to be shire cross. They tend to have at very white legs.

My girly is the coloured version and she is irish cob. She came from Ireland and is 15.3hh. She also has feathers on her hocks, then a gap and then more feathers starting about mid cannon.

Hes the spit and dab of my old mare who is Dales x Fell but i think your right, standing at 15.3hh a little big to be these two breeds only, maybe a little friesian? Def dales over fell as dont think fells have as much white on legs as him. Nice sort though.
 
Not necessarily, they are acceptable by the breed society in most colours bay, black, brown grey and roan, so as hes obviously not pure bred he could still quite easily be X dales. Im led to believe those dales with white markings other than small star, coronet or heel are of clydesdale ancestory and that each dales will trace back to Comet a Welsh cob stallion who was introduced to the dales to improve the breed for farming. So who knows.

No, my Shire x TB girlie has only a few white hairs on the right hand side of her bum...about five (I haven't counted accurately), and a white crescent on her head.
No white on her legs at all. She's 16.3ish at the moment.
