i doubt there is any shep in her she is so slightly built i can get my hands round her waist (and no he doesnt starve her) she looks full collie apart from the fact she is completely black

she is really aloof, we call her rio the regal lol

I think the collie x some sort of retriever seems reasonable. BUt as FL says, you don't always get a pure mix of fifty fifty do ya?

WOWOWO!!!!!!!1
nothing wrong with a totally black pure collie!!!!

my parents bred collies and i had one of my own til i was 15. Adore them but OH was bitten by one when he was younger so am not allowed one. I have terriers and a beagle. Your bitch has a classic collie tail (think the collie part was a long haired one) and i think she may have a little black lab in there. My old YO had a collie and they put him to a v light black lab bitch and all the pups turned out to look v much like your girl,so just an idea.

Thats definautly a border collie, by all respects or atleast with major collie influence in the breed, not fully sure about german shepherd in the breed?, shes too lean and the breed colours of the collie are very prominant, looks more to be a whippet or lurcher mix, but definatly not german shepherd, if your really unsure and want to find out go too the vet and ask or they make breed analysing tests which can 99.9% accuratly tell you what breeding has influenced the turn out of your pooch

absolutly beautiful markings and dog though

, you will find the mongrol's make the best dogs with no major health risks accosiated with selective breeding to purify the breed. collies being a ruggid breed anyway.
