ok, I have caved! He is a belgium trotter, and was raced over there. He is more covered now, in the top pic he was a combination of a bit skinny, and 6 months out of racing. Thank you so much for all your guesses!

Can't you get Trotters from other countries? I thought US and Russia both had trotters?

I dont understand, he is definately not british, he has a belgium passport?

I posted in response to your original photo....before your post telling us he's a Belgium Trotter appeared. I wasn't disagreeing with you, as I know f*** all about foreign trotting breeds

yes he canters, it was a bit tricky to begin with though!

He has curly ears like merlin, but he is sec d x ish so yours cant be that
