I think he is just a lab... My chocolate lab is brown with a white cross on his chest like yours... Have just had a quick look at photos of Dylan (my dog) as a puppy and looks similar... He is ow 3 1/2! x

Now I see the nose, it's being all black that creates the confusion! :p Either that or I'm a rubbish guesser!

He's lovely and an unusual mix - is he a good boy?

Haha, he's 6 months at the moment. He's a delight when he's warn out, he'll cuddle up to you for a cuddle. However, when he wants to misbehave or is overly energetic, he does it royally. I.e, six o'clock this morning I was walking him. He's normally great off the lead, I let the lunge line drag along the floor just in case. Took it off this morning, and would the sod come back? Ohh no :p. Half an hour later, me chasing him, and trying to use the lunge line as a lasso. Even tricking him into thinking I had a treat (I forgot, oops! Wont tomorrow ;) ) and he soon cottoned on and buggered off. He's an incredibly intelligent dog, but sometimes he can use it against you. ;)

Ah yes, doberman chase, that is one of the favourite spectator sports at our club.
We like to hang over the fence, shouting encouragement, like 'roll around on the floor!' 'turn around and run away!' 'do a funny dance' 'just shoot the bugger!'

I even tested the Sit on him, I thought if I can get the bugger to sit, I can get the lunge round him, and even if he runs I've still got him. It worked, until I moved, and he was off

. It was six o'clock, and he was frantically barking and digging up the children's park. I did the turn around and run away, but I had to hold the gate open, so he could get out so it didn't work anyway haha. :p Then I tried the trick, that they do getting head collars onto awkward horses, poking the 'treat' (clenched fist) :p through the loop so when he went for it bam, I could get him. Yeah right

Sometimes, I wonder why I do it, oh and not forgetting I was up at 4:30 because he was whining and wanted a wee, then back up at six to walk him before work. Don't you just love puppies?.. ;).

It's normally okay, he can't run fast because when he applies the brakes he just goes head over heels. And if that doesn't stop him, his nose will. The amount of things he can sniff out, he'ld make a great drugs dog. The only downside is he eats everything, so ;) :p

I think it's a lab, collie cross. I have a picture of my now passed away Fluke who is an exact lookalike. Hope to upload one for you at some time soon..

Gorgeous boy! I have a chap with pretty similar breeding who looks very similar, Bax is ESS x Ridgeback. Do you get sick of the "Nooo that's a black lab!" mob too?!

Heres Mr Bax
