No, not a new horse, although I have one of those too ;)

Clearing out a room for a new bed for the solid 6 weeks worth of relatives visiting, starting next week :( Shoot me now please -I love my family but not 3 lots of them one after the other without breathing space anyway.

I found .....

the aerial photo I'd bought for OH's Christmas present last year and had forgotten about, but even better than that...

three brand new winter turnouts that I can't even recall buying!:D

and a bridle,

and a pair of stirrups...why any of it was in the guest room I have no idea:confused:

Those little discoveries almost (but not quite) make up for the fact that I have just found out that I have to pay for half a miles worth of power cable across my land to be restrung  and that the power outage this morning means I have to reprime the water pump for the well (disadvantage of having no mains water supply out here in the boonies) before I can refill water troughs, which means that as the troughs are almost empty they can be scrubbed out too, none of which I had on my mental 'To do' list for the day. Such is my life. Ah well, it's 25C, the sun is shining, the sky is blue, can't moan really. :) Right, off to the dank, dark pump room I go then...why is there never a man around when there's a mucky job to do?

You lucky devil!!

Are those turnouts 6ft 6 maybe....?

If you are at a loss with what to do with them....the DS Charitable Trust to help Feed And Clothe My Beasties has now been started.

Right this minute.

:D

Pump is kaput:mad: New one being installed as I speak.

It SUCKS having no water in the house, I have hauled over 1000 litres up from the creek for the animals and unless the pump gets going soon I am seriously debating going down and jumping in there for a wash:eek:

Oh your pump is shot? :( I keep waiting for that to happen here as we have had the same one the entire time we have lived here. Of course it will happen on the day my tanks are empty and it's the coldest or hottest day of the year.
Good luck getting it sorted quickly

Remind me to book a stay in your guest bedroom next year though ;) hopefully I find a winters supply of hay and a $5,000 pre paid vet voucher ;)

Wow - great find - all I find is cat poo or sick or half a mouse - large spider who have been weight training and lonely socks.

Most entertaining find was a live baby bunny - they are very quick and head for the centre of under the bed. Finally caught it with the aid of the pipe on the vacuum cleaner - I sucked it on to the end - at least it got to live to tell the tail.

Thats a bit of a bumper find enfys! I get excited when I find a fiver in an old pocket but that takes the biscuit.

Good luck with the pump... sounds like a nightmare.

Crying with laughter at that.. Totally wrong to find it funny of course... But can you imagine what it's saying to its mates? Abducted by aliens who beamed him up!

ROFLMAO! :D With my luck I'd suck the poor thing in and it would be whizzing around in the middle :(
