Another Labrador!!!:eek::eek::eek:

At the top of my lane I found a black lab wandering - and sticking his head in hedges!!:) No sign of anyone looking for him/walking him. So I got out and he came running over to me all friendly but no collar:(. So he hopped in the car!!:eek: I had a drive around the cottages/houses by the end of the lane but no sign of anyone looking for him.:(

He came into town with me -obviously used to being in cars as he was happy on the back seat:D - stopped at the feed store and they gave him a pigs ear for being traumatised!!:eek::D and then went to the vets to see if they could scan him for a chip.:)

They had had a phone call from the owner!!:D hurray!!:D and they had just moved into a house on the lane and norty dog had got out!!:rolleyes::rolleyes::D

So I took him home and met Blair's owners in the lane:D - the vets had called them so they were waiting for me. Blair hopped out of my car pigs ear in mouth and completely unrepentant!! :eek::rolleyes::rolleyes::D:D

I have got a lovely bottle of wine for my troubles!! :cool::D

At least i know where he belongs if i see him again.:rolleyes:;):D

*grrrs at people who dont collar their dogs*!!!

Thank goodness, that was lovely of you =] owners must have been going nuts!

That reminds me of when we thought we'd lost our St Bernard, we searched everywhere and he was no-where to be found. We spent 2 hrs ringing everywhere we could think of and then just as we were really panicking up drove the post man with uncle boris sat in the front seat :o

The postie had delivered earlier to us, the dog had jumped in the seat and refused to move so the postie worried about being late on his round took him with him and dropped him off afterwards.

No harm done but we were frantic for a while.

I have to admit to being 'slightly' disappointed at him going home:rolleyes: - was hoping he would at least get to come and play with The Moo first!!;):D:D

He didn't have his collar on as he had been bathed and they were bathing their other dog when he escaped!!:eek: His collar is back on now:rolleyes: - although that may limit my wine donation scheme......;):D:D

Just out of interest slinky, did you check him for a tattoo. My lot are tattooed but not chipped, it concerns me that quite often people never think to check the ear when they find a dog. Not getting at you, just curious.:)
