I took my large horsie to a well attended local show yesterday and won the riding horse class and 5th in riding club type with jumps. He has never done anything like this before. When i got him out of the trailer he was so unsettled. I saddled up before my class for a warm up and he was going bananas. I nearly got off for my own safety. He was never settled cantering behind another horse, so didnt know what to expect in the ring. However I managed to just about get to the warm up area and he settled down into some lovely work. He even coped with the cantering in the ring. I am very please with him (18hh is a long way to fall !). Got into the championship, but he gave an huge buck on his show, hence didnt get it (quite rightly so)
