x

I did an intensive course in a week. This was 16 hours tuition plus the test. The total cost was £530. The test itself is £115 though. Was wellw orth doing! I ma soo excited at thought of being able to do what I want with horse now :) Good luck!!

Well done. It's such an amazing feeling of freedoom - I passed my a couple of months ago and have been whizzing about with the trailer every since.

Costs: it's not cheap but well worth it. Mine was just under £500, inc the test, for a three day course. The test is HARD if you've not had the training. The manouvering and hitching part are easy with a little practise - it's the 45min drive that's hard. If you've been driving a car for a while you'll have picked up a whole host of bad habits and they are VERY strict with minors etc - it's a much stricter test than the normal driving test. It was despairing after my first day's drive - I thought I was competant driver but I had SO mnay bad habits. :o

Well Done!

Thank you all :) I feel so liberated but now in dilehma about what to do first lol
Totally agree with you Kalliebear....the worst part was definately the 45 min drive. Particularly when I had shaky clutch leg syndrome lol. Exactly the sam as you I found the reverse and coupling ect easy once you knwo how but the drive is so nervewracking as you are so on guard about driving "properly". Even little habits like crossing hands when turning, resting hand on gear stick etc all add up. They are very very very hot on mirrors and positioning and preparation but as long as you take your time and chill it is fine. Def worth doing. Just don't stress!!
