Guinea Pig Help!!!!!

So realized last night that one of our piggies has a cut on his belly. It looks like a bite. It was weeping and smelt horrible. Got in touch with vet who told us to squeeze it ? and then clean it with boiled salt water . Did that and looks better this morning and not weeping. What can I do to keep it clean and stop it getting infected? He lives with one sow indoors. We could separate them if needs be. Thanks in advance!!!

I usually use leucillin on my pigs.

Would be an odd place to have a bite I'd have thought.

Thanks. So did I but I cant see what else it would have been. Could have been him itching himself maybe?

What good advice from the the vet. It's a bit late now but I hope you kept doing this until it healed.

Yes I did. It's healed up very nicely now and the piggie is back to his usual self
