Is it refitted by devoucoux???

if it is, honestly not that surprised. If not... maybe find another saddler, we are happy to refit a saddle but obviously travel, consult, then any work required added on top of that. But Devoucoux are very particular... tbh they can prob get away with charging you this as not many people would do it. Why Devoucoux? they are pretty but there are lots of (cheaper) alternatives that do the job just as well.

Fair enough.

They can prob charge that much because people will pay it!!! Also they arnt selling you a saddle so need to make up for the work they do and therefore the money they dont make... hmm is very expensive though... but then again so are devoucous!

understand the jaw dropping moment when the cost is given, had exactly the same myself a couple of years ago. Take comfort from the fact that Devoucoux have obviously not increased the fee for two years, £250 is what I paid them to change the panels on one of my saddles.

Cost included fitters travelling to my yard, time assessing the changes to be made, collection and return of the saddle by courier and obviously the work done.
